The Person Behind The Shirt Company

The Shirt Company is run by New Zealand-born designer Donna Middleton.

With more than 18 years of experience in the fashion industry, from design and manufacturing to the marketing of brands and the business of buying, Donna is international in outlook, having been educated at London College of Fashion and FIT in New York before working globally for designers including TSE, Karen Walker and Amanda Wakeley. And now, with The Shirt Company, Donna works in an East London studio developing innovative collections of shirts and brings her knowledge to bear on a wardrobe essential that, while apparently ubiquitous, in perfect form is notoriously difficult to find.

The collections all explore simplicity and the possibilities it offers creatively. Inspiration is drawn from 50's fashion, film, modern art, architecture, origami, order and nature.
